Call of Duty 4 the combat themed first-person shooter has won the Golden Joystick Award. The game won in three categories over all which includes “PC Game of the Year“, “Online Game of the Year” and “Ultimate Game of the Year” awards.
The Golden Joystick now 26 years old is only voted for by UK gamers and has awards in 16 categories.
The Golden Joystick and Bafta Video Game Awards are the two most prestigious awards in the Gaming Industry.
However the Bafta Awards are chosen by Game industry experts and the Golden Joystick are chosen by Voters. This year around 850,000 gamers voted to decide the winners.
The other Winners major winners were Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock, Grand Theft Auto IV, and Super Smash Bros. And with the award this year GTA has become the only game to win a Golden Joystick for seven straight years.
