The Apple iPod Classic is a device that is recognized far and wide for reviving the company from ashes. But it looks like it may just not reach to celebrate its 10th birthday on 2011. When it was launched in 2001, it was the only device that could store such big amounts of data and also at reasonable price. But the recent advances in flash memory and SSD technology have made those two storage options the industry standard for everything from netbooks to iPhones. The industry’s current decision for small form HDD products and Apple’s apparent design trajectory for its mobile PMPs and handset devices recommend that it is time to say good bye to the iPod classic and make way for the newer generation.

Philips presents its new SoundBar HTS8160B, who has boxes of sound Ambisound integrated HD, Blu-ray player and dock for iPod or iPhone, and an external subwoofer. This SoundBar is compatible with DTS-HD and Dolby True HD with a surround sound of 7.1 channels. Another very interesting detail is the remote control, which has a touchscreen display.
The price is not amicable, the corresponding of U.S. $ 1,500 outside.
