The US presidential Race is doing its bid for the paving new ways for incorporation of online media into mainstream politics.

And the main person to do this is Obama, now you will be able so see Obama advertisements on video games.

On the other end McCain camp is playing the blame game with YouTube over the removal of campaign videos. They should rather concentrate on thinking what else they can do to improve their chances against Obama. It wont help McCain to play the blame game and accuse YouTube of something as it could backfire against them.

The Obama camp on the other side has payed for advertisement in 18 video games which include Guitar Hero, Burnout Paradise and Madden 09. Out of the 18 games nine are from Electronic Arts.

The ads will be seen on games by users in 10 states. The control of such ads in governed by the game makers. The online game campaign will help Obama target the age group of 18 to 34.

As i said in my last post i dont know what would be next by Obama before the deadline next month…..

The software lets organize contacts in swing states using the option “Call Friends.”

As per Obama “This Iphone tool is designed to help you become more directly involved in our campaign to change the country.“

The iPhone application was developed by users in a matter of 3 weeks. The tools is set out to capture the potential votes young people and a effective way to get involved with people at grass root level.

The features of the New iPhone applications include:

• Making notes on which people have been called
• Also keeping a tap on who needs a reminder on election day.
• It also ensures the privacy or friends and users.
• Also lets people get up-to-date updates about the campaign, latest videos and photos.
• It will also provide people talking points to convince on people to vote.

Declan McCullagh said “Having your friends sorted by battleground states is something I haven’t seen any other politician come up with before. This is a glimpse of the future of high-tech politicking.”

And with this technique coming from the Obama camp just days before the election leaves the John McCain’s with not enough time to follow the tracks.

Obama proved his tech savvyness earlier as well when he announced his choice of Joe Biden for vice-president via a text message.

Also Obama has turned to the web to raise money, used YouTube to advertise and facebook to increase his social networking profile.
