After the one of the Greatest failures that Microsoft has had so far with Windows Vista, Microsoft has come up with their latest offering in the OS segment Windows 7.
It also called as Windows 7 Vienna.
According to Microsoft, Vienna will provide a more personalized experience, which i mean is another way to say that it complicated as hell and best of luck while using it.
Microsoft says that they have learned from their mistakes in the past with Vista and have made a lot improvements in the new Vienna Operating System.
It has some copied features such as to zoom into a image using two fingers. a Feature which was introduced by Apple’s iPhone.
A new Taskbar which gives faster access to files and programs by displaying the opened files and programs as a graphic thumbnail.
Also a feature called HomeGroup which enables users to share files between PC’s and other devices in the house.
Also more support for devices such as cameras, printers, and mobile phones using a product called as Device Stage which enables to manage all the devices using a single window.
Microsoft’s chief software architect Ray Ozzie said “Vista is a great operating system, it’s tremendously functional” and “Windows 7 brings it up a level by enabling it to take advantage of certain hardware innovations. PCs have evolved since Vista was launched.”
Also one more announcement made by Microsoft regarding its Office tools stating that Microsoft Office will be available as a web application which will enable people to share their work across multiple devices.
This is again a copy from Google which already offers users to create documents, spreadsheets, and presentations online for free.
When will Microsoft come up with something new on its own and stop cloning features that others invent.
