Rumor has it that Apple is set to launch its new line of MacBook priced around $800. The Cheapest MacBook that Apple has to offer for now start from $1099.
Apple would achieve something that India’s Tata Motors is set to achieve with its much awaited Tata Nano. Nano has been priced at that magical figure of $2500 which none of the big Automobile Manufacturers were able to achieve.
The reason Apple would be able to achieve this major benchmark is because of its revolutionary manufacturing process which can carve out Laptop Chassis out of a Aluminum Brick. It’s known as the “Brick” with people who have heard of it.
With the kind of market crunch that we have right now, it will help Apple to provide a cheap alternative to its MacBook without cutting on its profit.
This does not sound as good news for Apple rivals HP and Dell. However Apple has to do a lot before it can take over the Market. Currently Apple’s share in the market is only 8.5 percent compared to HP (25.3 percent) and Dell (31.9 percent).
With the Christmas season just around the corner it will help Apple if it is able to crack the magical figure of $800.
